With the SONICO® EDGE we have developed a highly precise flow measurement system for drinking water, industrial water, and process water. The product concept is modular and flexible in terms of its overall mechanical design and communication capabilities. SONICO® EDGE is equipped with the latest GWF 4D Technology®.

Our SONICO® EDGE can be installed regardless of installation conditions and without additional pipe runs. The compact plug-and-play design, automatic flow direction detection, and the absence of a cable grounding requirement enable quick and easy installation – even in confined spaces or directly after pipe bends.
Our SONICO® EDGE automatically detects the main flow direction and maintains separate volume registers for both directions. This enables certified and accurate billing in both directions – regardless of how the water flows through the measuring device.

The GWF 4D technology® is based on the ultrasonic measurement principle and is therefore insensitive to excessively low conductivities of the liquid being measured.
You can easily and directly adjust the settings of the SONICO®EDGE as needed using the GWF Life Mobile App via the IR interface of the measuring device.
The measurement data is automatically saved by the internal data logger. The external NFC and IR communication interfaces are end-to-end encrypted, thus ensuring maximum data security.
Manufactured in Switzerland, the product enables fast response and delivery times and guarantees the highest quality.
The SONICO® EDGE uses durable, recyclable materials and eliminates the need for potting compound and batteries. Its robust housing reliably protects the electronics and allows for use even in demanding environments. This minimizes environmental impact and extends the device's lifespan.
In recent years, the GWFexpert team has developed a number of patents and patent applications that have led to the unique GWF 4D Technology®.
Based on time-reverse acoustics, GWF has developed a unique methodology for processing and correcting ultrasonic signals. The signal structure operates in "disks," thus capturing the entire flow channel. Furthermore, instead of cumbersome and sensitive correction tables, GWF uses proprietary correction algorithms based on the physical flow profile. This improves measurement stability and the repeatability of results, even under adverse conditions.
The implementation of 4D Technology® leads to optimized signal generation and post-processing of the measurement data. Additionally, the signal-to-noise ratio on the receiver side is maximized by the patented process, guaranteeing high performance.
The unique approach to transducer handling and product integration ensures long-term product stability. The overall mechanical design is also groundbreaking: the SONICO® series is designed for a service life of more than 20 years. The straight, empty pipe design without cavities and with its dry transducers offers clear advantages for all water and installation conditions.
