The SVGW Future Forum in St. Gallen provided an ideal platform for professional exchange on the future of water and gas supply. The focus was on innovative technologies, digital solutions, and how supply networks can be made more resilient, efficient, and sustainable.
A particular highlight was the lecture "Digital supply networks of tomorrow" by Dr. Markus Helfenstein. He demonstrated how intelligent metering systems, digitalization, and open data platforms work together to sustainably strengthen the resilience and efficiency of supply networks.
It became clear that the greatest added value arises not from individual technologies, but from their intelligent interaction. Only when measurement technology, communication, and data utilization seamlessly integrate can sound decision-making criteria be established for the safe and economical operation of critical infrastructures.
In addition to the expert presentations, the Future Forum offered numerous opportunities for personal discussions with specialists from the water and gas supply sectors. The exchange about current challenges and concrete application examples demonstrated once again the great interest in future-proof digitalization solutions.
We would like to sincerely thank all the visitors who stopped by our booth and engaged in dialogue with our team. The stimulating discussions and new contacts made the Future Forum a thoroughly successful event for us.
Because one thing became particularly clear on that day: The digitization of critical infrastructures is no longer a vision of the future – it is already happening today.
